Angels are eternally elusive
Especialy in Bieszczady
We too sometimes get carried away
Off to the angels’ tracks

They let us follow them
Showing us the way with their wing
and the eternal ardour of Bieszczady
Fire up in us forever
Poem: Adam Ziemianin „Bieszczadzkie anioły”

words: Sebastian Pawłowski / photos: Adam Klimek

We went to Bieszczady – one of the most beautiful and wild region in Central Europe - in the worst time of the year but with the angels’ help we experienced an adventure that we will never forget. Early March, classic Polish time of sombreness with weather shifting unexpectedly. Rain, snow, wind, mist, fog, rivers of mud, and passes made of clay that filled every single hole in our bikes. Night dreams in the clouds, walls of ice, scent of beechwood forest, wolf tracks outside our tent and the physical challenge that mountains brought upon us, fed us for seven days. All that contributed to reforging the way we see the world.

During our 7-day long journey we met just a handful of individuals. One of them was a local antlers gatherer.

“Grażyna” (eng. Grace) was guiding us through the clouds.
Wolf tracks – Bontrager at its source.
Misty morning.
Foggy night.
